Acupuncture is a component of the health care system of China that can be traced back at least 2,500 years. The general theory of acupuncture is based on the premise that there are patterns of energy flow (Qi) through the body that are essential for health. Disruptions of this flow are believed to be responsible for disease and these disruptions or blockages can be eliminated through stimulation of different points on the body. Using hair-thin needles, acupuncture taps into the body's own energy to heal itself.

I offer a holistic approach to treatment using acupuncture, cupping and essential oils. Acupuncture and herbal medicines can promote health, boost energy and restore harmony to people experiencing physical pain and imbalance. Acupuncture has been known to be an effective treatment in sports medicine and injury, women and men’s health and infertility, back pain, headaches, stress and anxiety disorders including depression and even PTSD.

Yoga

Yoga means literally to connect, and although it is a wonderful way to get or stay in shape, it is a physical, mental and spiritual practice above all else.

This ancient practice has been known to decrease depression and anxiety, help systems in the body overcome illness and alleviate a myriad of health issues including blood pressure, fatigue, insomnia, and stress.

Yoga can be used as a complete exercise program, rehabilitation therapy for injury or pain in the body, and is wonderful for athletic recovery as it speeds the healing process of muscles and tendons. Most importantly, yoga is for everyone. It doesn’t require experience or flexibility, but only the will to improve one’s quality of life.

Foundation

Indivara Blue is a foundation that I created after traveling to Cambodia in the fall of 2014. After meeting so many of the women there, I sought to figure out how I could possibly make a difference. I enjoy making yoga jewelry in my spare time for friends and decided that this would be an amazing resource to raise money for my cause. I craft all of my yoga jewelry personally by hand such as malas and yoga bracelets and each piece is completely unique and one of a kind. Find out more about purchasing Indivara jewelry and donating to this much needed cause. Pass the love forward, always. xx
